From the nominator: She regularly suggests ways to create more access for her students, and eliminate barriers, confusion, wait times in the enrollment process; she recently helped plan and lead our first ever ESL orientation.

Colorado Mesa University

From the nominator: Stephanie supports each of her non-traditional students with care and encouragement. Why? Because her students need it and she can offer it with a smile on her face. Truly a great example for all of to follow!

The Colorado Council for High School and College Relations (CCHS/CR) seeks to recognize admissions professionals in higher education who are going above and beyond in their work. We are proud of the work that you do to support high school students in making informed decisions regarding post-secondary education. We want to honor individuals doing exceptional work in the day-to-day of a college admissions setting. Thank you for taking the time to nominate this outstanding college admissions staff for this award.

   
2026 Nomination eligibility and criteria:
  • Candidate must be a current professional college admissions staff (directors/supervisors are also eligible)
  • Multiple nominations for the same person (by different people) are accepted
  • Current year award recipients are not eligible until the next calendar year
Award recipients will receive:
    1. $100 gift card
    2. A certificate of recognition from Colorado Council - Counselor of the Month Committee
    3. Highlight/spotlight on our website, social media page, and/or email newsletter
