Annual Conference Committee
Committee Purpose:
The Annual Conference is charged with planning the Annual Conference held the first Thursday and Friday in December. This conference is a forum for professional development for Council members.
Committee Purpose:
Organize and facilitate the Day/Night Fairs in Colorado.

Counselor Workshops Committee
Committee Purpose:
This committee plans a series of Counselor Workshops each Fall. They coordinate so that workshops are offered geographically across the state of Colorado to reach as many counselors as possible. These workshops are to provide a forum for issues and concerns of the membership and to provide an update to attendees from member colleges and universities.

Elections & Recognition Committee
Committee Purpose:
The purpose of this committee is twofold: first, to identify members of Colorado Council who have contributed so much to our profession and organization and should be recognized for their contributors; second, to identify candidates for open positions on the CCHS/CR Executive Board and create a ballot of candidates. This committee is also responsible for reviewing nomination for High School Counselor of the Month and College Admissions Professional of the Month.
CCHS/CR and the Colorado Department of Higher Education have formed a partnership to recognize outstanding high school counselors around the state. Counselors may be nominated. Counselors are selected based on the following criteria:
- Initiating a unique college prep program
- Community involvement
- Building relationships with the higher education community
- Leadership positions held in education related organizations (CCHS/CR for instance)
- Participation in high school activities/sponsorship of programs
- Number of years as a counselors
*Principles, peers, students, parents or teachers may make recommendations.
Committee Purpose:
This committee oversees the organization, management, and distribution of accurate, up-to-date collegiate handbooks to students, counselors, and college admissions representatives. Each year, the committee collects updates from Colorado institutions, reviews the CCHS/CR Collegiate Handbook, and coordinates its publication and distribution in both print and digital formats. The handbook is offered at a reasonable cost and includes key information on tuition, financial aid, scholarships, programs, admissions standards, and more for each Colorado college and university represented on the Council.
Historian
Committee Purpose:
To distribute the Colorado Council Handbook to those who purchase it through their membership or online. We also distribute the handbook to all Day/Night programs and work with counselors to provide handbooks to sell to their students and parents during the college nights or other post-secondary functions.
Purpose of Committee:
This committee reviews applications for new memberships and makes recommendations to the Executive Committee for acceptance. The chair is responsible to send out membership renewal notices each year.

Professional Development Committee
Committee Purpose:
This committee works to provide meaningful and relevant Professional Development opportunities to the members of the CCHS/CR including high school counselors and college admission representatives.

Scholarship Committee
Committee Purpose:
The purpose of the CCHS/CR Scholarship is to assist Colorado high school seniors who will attend a college/university within the State of Colorado.

Social Media Committee
Technology Committee
Committee Purpose:
The technology committee is tasked with keeping Council apprised of technology needs and to help assist with the communication back and forth with the Council website's webmaster to ensure that the website is operational and efficient.
